The Hybrid Gallery is proud to be an inclusive safe haven for artists of all shapes, sizes, ages, races, abilities, genders, and identities.
Below you will find info on all of our current offerings for artists and creatives. We have a particular focus on encouraging creativity and giving a voice to emerging artists.
If you would like to talk about showing your art or having a show, please email art@thehybridgallery.com.
Let’s Create!
Our figure drawing sessions feature a body positive, inclusive setting with diverse models representing an array of body types.
Models may be nude or clothed according to their comfort level.
A full bar (with non alcoholic options) will be on offer and these sessions will be open to people 18 and over.
Please bring your own materials. We will have limited easels and drawing boards available, so come early to have a drink, chat with your friends, and claim your spot. Doors open at 5:30 PM, drawing begins at 6:00 PM.

Join Mikalina (@the_moon_remembers) for two hours of low-stakes, open-ended creative process time in a facilitated community setting.
All materials will be provided. Suggested donation for materials and facilitation: $10 per adult. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Each Creativity Cafe will have accessible and open ended themes and activities to serve as a jumping off point. Participants will be guided in a way that helps us open to exploration, experimentation, process, and expression rather than focusing on trying to achieve a particular outcome or end product.
We’ll lower the stakes, loosen up, and remember that play is the origin of the creative impulse. Attendees are not required to do the activity of the day, feel free to come on in to create what is calling you.
Humans of all ages are welcome to join. Kids must have an adult present.

Join Mikalina Kirkpatrick at the Hybrid Gallery on Monday evenings this fall for community-oriented, facilitated writing practice on the Untamed Page.
We’ll do three short (ten minute) prompted writes, keeping our hands moving the entire time, letting go of the idea of getting it right and getting curious about what’s actually here.
After we write we will each read out loud. …one by one, listening to each other without commentary or feedback, just presence and witness. We offer gratitude hands 🙏🏻or sparkle fingers 🙌🏻 when each writer is finished reading and we’re off to the next writer.
This practice is a great way to “crack open” the writing mind. It’s a way to set yourself free from the inner critic; to get to know yourself better as a writer, and as a human being. It feels good — even when it feels kinda bad. When we do this practice in a group, we become a community, a circle, witnesses to each other. When we do this practice together we agree to witness each others’ stories and processes without feedback while honoring each others’ story, autonomy, and dignity.
What’s shared here stays here, what’s learned here leaves here. We agree to take care of ourselves using our self-care practices, support systems, and trusting our inner knowing. Click here for session dates and more information.
