Sarah Holtschlag plays saw, accordion, and guitar. She writes love songs for woebegone hearts.
Heather Davis was given a washboard in a dark smokey basement on Washington street here in The Eug. 18 years ago and has been playing ever since. Her vocal prowess ranges from punkrock to opera and never imagined she’d be able to sing both genres in one band.
Tanya Bunson has fiddled her way into many people’s hearts and she is tickled to pieces that she has landed with this group that enjoys singing the songs she never knew she could write.
Nicole Hummel began playing rhythm guitar during the pandemic, when her sweetie began to patiently teach the only adult in his bubble. Inspired by her circle of skilled musicians, and following the path of joy snowballed into this dream of writing songs and performing in a playful, bold and uplifting group of humans.
Dandy Dixon was traveling along the Natchez Trace when a hill billy band on bicycles invited them to join their tour. In need of an instrument, Dandy found an old washtub in an abandoned barn. All it took was a weed whacker string and a broom pole to make that tub sing.
Pants with Pockets is a femme-empowered band based in Eugene that plays a range of originals and americana/folk favorites. Featuring Sarah Holtschlag on guitar/saw/accordion, Nicole Hummel on guitar, Tanya Bunson on fiddle, Heather Davis on washboard, and Dandy Dixon on washtub bass.
